If you haven’t heard of the Moniker Group, you should really check them out. Better yet, go by one of their warehouses (hidden inside this unassuming building pictured at right) and just LOOK. This place is a creative force. “The Dream Factory” is filled with humble, hardworking, creative people doing what they best--making cool stuff. Many are commissioned to complete short (and sometimes long-term) creative projects for various companies. All work together to share clients, resources, and energy. It’s the kind of place that I think many of our HTH students would enjoy spending time in. In many ways, our missions are aligned: dream up great things, use each other as resources, and #changetheworldalittlebit, one idea--->thing at a time.
Uriel knew he wanted to work with his hands, but wasn’t sure how. Luckily, his mentor determined that Uriel would benefit from acting as a warehouse shop hand. This will enable him to meet a lot of people who specialize in different creative areas. He will start with Nick (@stickmadeproducts) and assist him in creating these intricate, lit letters.
Keep an eye on Uriel’s blog and consider checking out the work being done in this hub of creativity in the East Village. I’m sure that both will prove interesting.
